Details

Take a break from the everyday rush and step into a weekend of connection, rest, and adventure on a guided hut trip through breathtaking alpine scenery with other women! Your spirit will be refreshed as you engage with God’s Word in a meaningful, experiential way, share laughter and community, and enjoy intentional, uninterrupted time alone with God. This year, our groups will be focused on hearing God’s voice and exploring what it looks like to steward our lives for His kingdom purposes.

These trips are designed for women of all ages from Calvary, as well as any friends you’d like to invite along! We aim to make each trip accessible and enjoyable whether you’re brand new to mountain adventures or more experienced. Along the way, your guides will help you feel confident and equipped for your time in the backcountry.

On these trips, your group will hike into a cozy backcountry hut where you’ll stay for both nights. This allows you to settle in, travel lighter, and enjoy a full day of exploring the surrounding area without carrying full packs.

DATES | September  25–27
This summer we have one set of trip dates available for Calvary women at all three campuses.

COST | $290

LOCATION | TBA
We are currently selecting huts and routes for this season. Check back for updates on where your trip guides are planning to take you! Locations may shift based on weather or other factors as the trip approaches.

ACTIVITY LEVEL
These hut trips are beginner-friendly, but some physical preparation will help you fully enjoy your experience. You should be prepared to:

  • Carry a 25–35 lb pack for 2–4 miles to the hut
  • Hike 4–6 miles with a light day pack
  • Complete around 1,500–2,000 ft of elevation gain
  • Travel and stay at elevations of 9,000 ft and above
  • Complete up to 10–12 miles of total hiking over the weekend

We understand that these requirements can feel a bit intimidating, but most women find they are very achievable with a little preparation. If you’re unsure how to get ready physically, we’ve got you covered with helpful training tips to set you up for success!
